INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS TRUST

Inclusive Schools Trust (IST) is a unique Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with a shared vision that pupils will be championed throughout their educational lives and beyond, so that they are able to reach their full potential.

IST is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) containing six established Infant and Junior schools, five of which are ‘good’ and outstanding’ and one sponsored school. IST ensures that schools within the MAT keep their identity, ethos and core beliefs and celebrate and understand the individuality of each of the schools and their communities.

We have a desire to remain small enough to fully understand the unique qualities of our individual schools, and yet large enough to have the capacity to deliver the highest quality challenge and support.

IST sits within the city of Norwich and some of its schools are directly involved with projects relating to the Norwich Opportunity Area (NOA) plan for social mobility. It works collaboratively with the Local Authority to raise the attainment and achievement across all its schools.

Our most important asset is Lionwood Teaching School, which supports the vision by providing all schools with bespoke professional development and support for school improvement. Our desire to be both inward and outward facing in equal balance ensures that we work to maintain high standards in the schools within the Trust but also support as many schools as possible to share that relentless pursuit of excellence.
